Herbarium of Iowa State University Flora of Iowa Stipa viridula Trin. Dickinson Co.: T100N R38W Sec 36 NE4 NE4 NE4 Heavily grazed native prairie pasture. Site is less than 0.2 miles east of the West Fork of Little Sioux River. Soil is Clarion loam, 5-9% slopes (138C), a Typic Hapludoll. Site is south of a gravel road and on the Des Moines Lobe. Infrequent. Some plants were in fruit, others had already disarticulated. With Bouteloua curtipendula. Bromus inermus. Taraxacum officinale and Trifolium repens.
