United States of America. California. Mono Co. White Mountains: 1.1 miles south 50° west of Tres Plumas bench mark 11107 near the north fork of Cottonwood Creek, Fishlake Valley drainage.

Habitat
Subalpine coniferous forest with Artemisia, Phlox, Lisianthus, Monardella and Haplopappus. Common in subalpine rocky areas. Rocky granitic soil sloping 25° North.

Description
Tree ca. 10 m. high and 8 dm. d.b.h., numerous cones around the base. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
