Habitat: Wash, riparian, alluvial substrate, growing
along cut bank, slightly up from sandy wash bottom.
Associated spp: Populus fremontii, Salix gooddingii,
Prosopis velutina, Sorghum halepense, Celtis
reticulata, Chilopsis liniaris, Ericameria nauseosa,
Sporobolus contractus, S. wrightii, Cynodon dactyon,
Rhus microphylla, Xanthium strumarium, Cynodon
dactylon, Muhlenbergia rigens, Bothriochloa
laguroides spp. torreyana.
Notes: Perennial bunchgrass 1.2 m. Abundant in
SPRNCA Voucher for botanical inventory of San
Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area.
