Melinis minutiflora Beauv*
Steep hillsides among shrubs and small trees, 15-16 km southeast of
Aserradero Dos Aguas and nearly west of Aguililla, on tumbled and
eroded sharp-toothed limestone rocks, elevation 1400-1450 m.
Abundant.
Culms up to 2 m high, in clumps; foliage
odorous, viscid; inflorescence reddish
with short white apical plume.
