SHOSHONE CO: St. Joe River canyon above Avery
St. Joe National Forest. Edge of forest of Thuja
plicata, Tsuga heterophylla and Abies grandis,

N side of river adjacent to upper part of Tin
Can Flat CG, elevation 2800' T45N R7E S19 just
below center. Plants occasional in fairly deep
and fine soil derived from quartzite of the
Belt Series of Precambrian metamorphic sediments
With Festuca occidentalis, Acer glabrum and
Salix xcouleriana.
