Habitat
Humid forest transitional between cloud forest and evergreen forest. Dense, canopy open, to 25-30 m tall with Gyranthera caribensis dominant as emergent to 50 m, understory rich in Gesneriaceae, Rubiaceae, Melastomataceae. Mosses and epiphytes abundant.

Description
Shrub 5 m tall. Inflorescence lateral, ca. 8 flowers on each. Flowers with 5 free sepals, pale green, 5 free petals, yellow-cream. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
