Melica mutica Walt.
On steep, south-facing slope overlooking mouth of
intermittent stream flowing west into the Savannah
River; young oak-hickory canopy; open understory.
Site #5 (Lat. 34°02'55"; Long. 82°36'39"), about 2.5
miles south of the S. C. 72 bridge over the Savannah
River. Below the 475-ft. contour (full pool for
proposed Russell Lake). Impoundment in mid-1980's.
