GLASS MOUNTAIN REGION: "Dry Fork" drainage to Adobe
Valley. Appx. 1 mi. N of FS Rd. 1S01 (Sawmill Mdw. Rd),
along and below 4WD ranch road running N. (Glass Mtn. quad:
37° 48.227'N, 118° 40.506'W; T2S R30E S4, center of sec.).
Alt.: 2530m/8300ft.
Burnt slopes surrounded by intact Artemisia tridentata scrub and
Pinus jeffryi woodland. Soft pumice soil with occasional
rhyolitic and granitic outcrops. Grazed scrub of Artemisia
tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus,
Symphoricarpos rotundifolius. Burnt slopes dominated by
Hesperostipa comata.
Occasional. Scattered throughout burn area.
