    In band parallel to margin of drainage channel. Secondary floodplain forest, degraded, bordering agricultural land, dominated by Acer saccharinum, Campsis radicans, Forestiera acuminata, Salix nigra, with Leptochloa panicoides, Leucospora, Rotala, Echindorus, Polygonum spp.

    Locally common few to single-stemmed annual grass, rather robust, spikes pale green, glaucous, often with purplish-tink tint. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
