    Wind deflation community on level; slope with shallow gravelly soils. Quartzite substrate. Associated with Arenaria obtusifolia, Geum rossii, Poa secunda, Selaginella densa, Phlox pulvinata, Douglasia montana, Agropyron scribneri, Lipinus argenteus. Common.
