Habitat
In patches along, low, seasonally damp edges of native gbrassland adjacent to riparian woods; much of the grassland has been burned, moweed, or plowed (for wildlife food plots) in recent decades, allowing the Rudbeckia to flourish with little competition from taller plants. Locally frequent.

From cultivation in garden of Julian Campbell, Lexington, KY. Livingg plant originally propagated fom 2009 collection. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
