Independencia, Los Bolos 18 km (by road) N and above Postrer Río. Semi-humid forest, much disturbed for cultivation, Musa, Sechium edule, etc., but with many trees remaining. 18038.1’N, 71°39’W. alt. 1145 m. “Calabacita“, not eaten or used, but said to be common and the seeds now germinating with the rains, only found here, and not in the “monte“. Vine with young fruit. Corolla light yellow. Mr. José Dolores Pérez Armello has been here since the early 1960s and said the plant had always been in this region. Coll.: M . Nee & J. C.
