Description
Completely black all over. Pileus 1.5-3 cm broad, convex, dry, finely subvelutinous. Black flesh, dark gray mottled toward base. Tubes adnate to subdecurrent, boletinoid near stipe less so toward margin. Stipe 1.5-3 cm long, 4-9 mm broad, dry, finely and densely tomentose becoming nearly subareolate, or barely scissurate.
