Description
A tree of good health and vigor, height 45 ft., 10 inches dbh. This specimen shows galls of Gymnosporangium juniperi-virginianae although there are no alternate hosts (apple or Crataegus) within 5 miles. This locality is the southern limit in the range for this species. Voucher-material for wood samples, New York College of Forestry. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Male cones at or near anthesis on specimen. The NY specimen shows no cedar-apple rusts on it.
