Locally scarce tufted perennial in an area being type-
converted by the Forest "Service" from chaparral to
weedy grassland. One of about three tufts seen;
associated with Bromus diandrus, Bromus hordeaceus,
Dactylis glomerata, Agropyron spp., and Adenostoma
fasciculatum (rehctual).
