Inadvertently cultivated grass forming a dense mass, stems
generally less than 6 in long. Growing in Florida
prairie/flatwoods sod with Hypericum tetrapetalum (also
inadvertently cultivated), both likely germinating from seed
found naturally in this soil. Growing in the greenhouse on
top of the Biological Laboratories building, Harvard
University, Cambridge, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.
Originally from a dry prairie in Avon Park Air Force Range,
Polk Co., FL, probably from March 2004.
