In ecotone between open, oak woods and corn field;
atop 15-ft. high bluff along the Savannah River.
Site #19 (Lat. 34°04'45"; Long. 82039'19"), about
one mile north of the Ga. 72 bridge over the
Savannah River. Below the 475-ft. contour (full
pool for proposed Russell Lake; impoundment of the
Savannah River scheduled for the mid-1980's).
