Elevation 390-400 feet; Herrin 7.5’ quadrangle.
Sandy loam, level and poorly drained.
Periodically mowed area with Carex spp., Panicum
acuminatum, Juncus spp., adjoining open shrubland,
flatwoods remnant. Rather common erect-ascending
perennial grass, soft pubescent. Described as “rare” in
Mohlenbrock.
