Description
Plants woody at base, to 4 m; leaves deep green, rugose, nitid above, pale green below; hypanthium nigrescent-green, sepecially in calyx region; corolla very deep crimson; anthers yellow; filaments and appendages crimson with salmony tinge. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
