Dominican Republic: Provincia de Samanà, along the
southern coast of Samanà Bay, approximately 2 km southwest
of the migrant fishing village known as Naranjo Arriba, in
Los Haitises National Park. ca. 19°4'N, 69°40’W. Elevation
40 - 80 m. Karst topography.
Voucher for PhD dissertation. Plant germinated from soil
samples collected in abandoned agricultural plots.
Specimen identified by T. A. Zanoni of the New York
Botanical Garden.
