Habitat
Principal ground cover, along with lichen, in black spruce forest, with few white spruce and some larch; Shrubs: Potentilla, Betula glandulosa, Juniperus horizontalis, Vaccinium vitis-idaea, Arctostaphylos rubra, Ledum; Herbs: Senecio lugens, Orchis, Geocaulon, Tofieldia pusilla.
