Steep roadside slopes along edge of premontane cloud forest.

Description
Terrestrial shrub to 2 m tall. Calyx red. Corolla dark rose-red at base with white limb and lobes. Berry greenish, immature. Locally common. [Photo; DNA; pickled; wood).
