    Young shrub, 3-4' high and across; widely branched and quite open; lflts mostly 3-, rarely 4-paired, with gland at proximal pair only; sole plant still flwg. Large seedling population; most with 3-lflt pairs, but some with both 3- and 4-lflt pairs and a few with consistently 4 pairs of lflts. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
