Midway up steep, west-facing, mesic slope along
the Savannah River. Site #12 (Lat. 34°03,30";
Long. 82°37,12"), about 1.5 miles south of the
S. C. 72 bridge over the Savannah River. Below
the 475-ft. contour (full pool for proposed
Russell Lake; impoundment of the Savannah River
scheduled for the mid-1980's).
