Chusquea
South-facing slopes of mountains between the Rio del Salto and
La Polvilla, ca. 18 miles east of Morelia; dominant vegetation
Pinus and Quercus. Elevation 7200-8000 ft.
Locally abundant perennials in rather fine,
dry soil near waterfall, partial to dense
shade, culms reclining, 3-U meters long,
branching at most nodes, blades flat.
