Chusquea foliosa L.G.Clark

Chiapas: Mt. Huitepec, road to microwave tower, Mun. San
Cristobal de las Casas. 2550 m. 92° 41'W, 16° 44'N.
Some patches of original pine-oak cloud forest left, but
mostly secondary vegetation, the bamboo growing both in
forest patches and in disturbed areas. Culms to 6-8 m
tall, to 2-3 cm in diameter, erect at base, then arching
over but pretty much self-supporting. Vegetative. Culm
leaf blades markedly narrower than the sheath apex.
