Description
Tree with several trunks 20 cm. in diameter; bark smooth, with green, light green and reddish brown patches, very showy and unusual. Leaves fragrant when dried. Few cones formed. Introduction: NYBG No. 29986C, from Bureau of Plant Industry, Foreign Seed and Plant Introduction, Washington, D.C., No. 17912 (received 3 Feb 1909), from northern China. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw 44250. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
