Dominican Republic: Provincia de Samana, along the southern coast of Samani Bay, approximately 2 km southwest of the migrant fishing village known as Naranjo Arriba, in Los Haitises National Park. ca. 19'4'N, 69°40'W. Elevation 40 - 80 m. Karst topography. Voucher for PhD dissertation collected in experimental plots situated in abandoned pastures. A common legume found growing in pastures dominated by Brachiaria decumbens. Specimen identified by T. A. Zanoni of the New York Botanical Garden. Feb 1994<<<OCR
