Vine, 2-3 m high, flowers pink, showy, seeds
scarlet with a black spot. Common in thickets.

On dogtooth limestone near Los Guanitos, about 7
miles from the Cabo Rojo turnoff, on the Pener-
nales-Oviedo road. Alt. 100-150 m.
