  • Description

    Pileus 3-4.5 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, lilac with some light and dull brown to ochre orange fibrils on disc, tomentose to matted subtomentose. Flesh lilac to brownish lilac to deep violet (watery?), unchanging with pungent odor (not idiosyncratic). Lamellae adnexed, lilac to pale violet, becoming tinged with rusty brown, close, with even to slightly eroded edges. Stipe 5-6 cm long, 9-11 mm broad, equal with a slightly broader base, dry, silky fibrillose, lilac to pale violet with bright ochre orangish cortinate remains, whitish at base, with interior watery lilac to grayish lilac, becoming hollow.
