Description
Pileus 1-3.5 cm broad, obtusely convex to convex then plan-convex, viscid, hygrophanous, finely appressed squamulose, with the squamules a pale red on a caramel colored ground, sometimes white at margin. Flesh whitish with an unpleasant odor and mild taste . Lamellae adnexed, tan to caramel brown with even edges. Stipe 3.5-6 cm long, 4-5 mm broad, equal, dry, white and silky fibrillose above, with red cortinate veil remains below, staining somewhat yellow below, white at base, with interior whitish above, pinkish in mid-portion, pinkish white near base.
