Glumes glabrous, 1st 7.5 mm. long, 1-nerved,
2nd 10.5 mm. long, 3-nerved. Rachilla ap-
parently glabrous. Lemma glabrous, scabrous
above, 14 mm. long, extending almost 4 mm.
beyond awn-attachment and bifid for nearly
2 mm. Awn, 18-20 mm. long. Palea ciliate
with hairs almost 1 mm. long.
