Floodplain of Mississippi River, mostly flat farm fields of
Glycine max, Triticum aestivum, Zea mays. Wooded area
and edges along large drainage ditch with Populus
deltoides, Salix exigua.
Common in grassy, gravelly, mostly sunny areas.
Inflorescences nodding, many plants already brown and
drying.
