CASS COUNTY East side of US Route 67, alongside
powerline rights-of-way and highway on west-facing
sand ridge, between Morgan County line and Honey
Point Road, about 8 miles south of Beardstown. Sand
ridge, deep sandy soil.
Cleared strip along disturbed sand forest, with sand
prairie species, including Opuntia humifusa,
Commelina erecta, Rhus aromatica, Bromus tectorum.
Locally common perennial grass in clonal colonies on
sand ridge.
