Specimen Notes
Annotation by "M": I do not know that this is, but it certainly is not Poa abbreviata R. Br., judging from Thurber's description of that pecies in Bot. Calif. vol. 2. The leaves are not "filiform-setaceous," the ligule not "oblong and entire," but ciliate and laciniate, the glumes not "1/2 as long as floret," but longer than the floret, the lower floret not "rough-pubescent all over" and "more or less woody at base," but just the opposite.
