Puerto Rico, Isla Caja de Muertos, La Hamaca, along La Hamaca Road.
17° 53'39“ N, 66° 31*26” W Alt: 5 mm Tree, 7 m high; bark grey-tan, chinky; flower buds reddish, petals yellow with red veins. Local in dry coastal forest next to road; saplings seen scattered in forest and along road. Soil granitic sand and silt.
