GLASS MOUNTAIN REGION: Big Sand Flat: along Hwy 120, E of Mono Mills. (Mono Mills quad: 37° 51.996'N, 118° 53.962'W; T1S R28E S9, NE/4). Alt.: 2402m/7880ft.
Broad sand flat of coarse pumice soil, bordered by Pinus jejfryi forest on S, Atremesia tridentata scrub on N, with few shrubs on flat. With Calyptridium umbellatum, Lupinus duranii, Chrysothamnus parryi, Gayophytum diffusion, Elymus elymoides, Mimulus mephiticus, Achnatherum occidentalis. Uncommon, widely scattered across flat.
