GLASS MOUNTAIN REGION: Wet Meadow, SE fork of meadow, at road's end. (Dexter Cyn. quad: 37° 48.39'N, 118° 46.916'W; TIS R29E S33, SW/4 of SE/4). Alt.: 2598m/8520ft.
Heavily grazed and disturbed meadow on fine silty pumice soil, closely surrounded by Populus tremuloides and encroaching Pinus contorta forest. With Lupinus lepidus, Agoseris glauca, Solidago multiradiata, Achillea millefolium, Aster occidentalis, Muhlenbergia richardsonis, Geum macrophyllum, Achnatherum occidentalis, Elymus trachycaulis, Polygonum, Gayophytum, Carex.
Common on dry disturbed areas. Basal clumps l-2dm across. Culms 1-1.5m high.
