25° southeast-facing slopes of rocky quartz latite soil and moister east-facing exposure. With Ceanothus velutinus, Angelica lineariloba, Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Grayia spinosa, Eriogonum umbellatum, Monardella odoratissima, Leptodactylon pungens, Gayophytum, Crepis. Infrequent.
