Swamps or very wet ground.

Description
Shrub 1.1.50 m., flowers pink, open in the forenoon. So far only found in Santa Lucia, where it grows among the reeds. Is promptly eaten & destroyed by livestock, consequently normally only in unaccessible places. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
