Riverside vegetation, river 2 m below high water, water level descending. Rare.

Description
Coarse herb to 1m, half-submerged, epicalyx and calyx green, petals light purple distally, deep blue-purple at base, staminal column and stamens and even pollen deep blue-purple, style and stigmas white. Few populations seen. Photo. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
