United States of America. Alaska. Middleton Island, located in the Gulf of Alaska about 115 miles south of Valdez. On west side of island.

Habitat
Bluffs. In dense shade. Vegetation about 6 to 7 ft. tall. Common species include: Angelica lucida, Heracleum maximum, Epilobium angustifolium, Calamagrostis sp., Streptopus amplexifolius, Urtica lyallii, Rubus spectabilis, Dryopteris austriaca, and Sambucus racemosa. Growing on trunks of Sambucus.
