Flora of the Paumonek Wetland, Long Island Juglans nigra L.	•
NEW YORK, SUFFOLK CO.: Huntington Station, in the Paumonek Wetland, west of Walt Whitman High School. 2 large canopy sized trees, approx. 12.9 m tall. Twigs emit a spicy scent when broken/cut. Growing in-between two clearings overgrown with vines. With Toxicodendron radicans growing up the trunks. Growing in an Oak-Hickory Mesic Woodland with Rosa multiflora, Aralia elata, Erythronium americanum, and Celastrus orbiculatus.
