    Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Could not locate the Fazenda Santa Rita using any online resources (no small-scale paper maps were available for this area); however, lat. Long. coordinates for another collection made near the "Fazenda Santa Rita" by this same collector in a different year were found in the Emu Database (NY Site IRN: 908038). Therefore, Georeferenced to the point at 600m elevation closest to the approximate geographic center of all the points at 600m elevation which immediately surround the closest inhabited area (-20.756331, -42.050143; concluded to be the "Sede" of the Fazenda Santa Rita) to the coordinates provided in the other site related to the Fazenda Santa Rita (20 45 37 S, 42 03 24 W), in Mun. Faria Lemos, Minas Gerais. Using Google Maps - Terrain View, Satellite View, and What's Here tool identified this point as described, and found its coordinates (final). Using Google Maps - Distance Measurement Tool, determined linear extent by measuring from the selected final coordinates to the farthest point at 600m elevation which immediately surround the inhabited area identified as the Sede da Fazenda (-20.748001, -42.048985). Input linear extent (1203.0 m), coordinate precision (0.00001 degrees), datum (WGS84), and measurement error (0.5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: Defined area).
