Growing at the edge of a road & a young forest in loamy sand (Galloway loamy sand, 0-5% slopes; mesic, coated Aquic Quartzipsamments). With Acer rubrum, Carya glabra, Pinus -rígida, P. virginiana, Prunus serótina, Quercus alba x Q. stellata, Q. coccínea, Q. coccínea X Q. velutina, Q.falcata, Rubus flagellaris, Sassafras albidum, Toxicodendron radicans, Tridens flavus, Vaccinium pallidum, & Vitis sp. To the N side of a short section of Rt. 670 between Rt. 347 (New Stage Rd.) & Rt. 47, about midway between these two roads. Town of Maurice River, Cumberland Co.
