United States of America. New Mexico. Catron Co. WNW of Zuni Salt Lake on slope overlooking Carrizo Wash ca. 1.82 km SE of its confluence with Twentytwo Draw.

Habitat
On gentle north-facing slope. Under Juniperus; with Bouteloua, Lycium, & Gutierrezia. In sandy duff soil.

Description
Short-lived perennials to 40 cm tall; lower stems with 2- to 5- rayed hairs; cauline leaves with auricles to 3 mm long; fruiting pedicels divaricate-ascending to horizontal, to 10 mm long, glabrous or with scattered, branched hairs; petals whitish, to 7.5 x 2 mm; pollen spheroid; fruits divaricate to widely pendent, glabrous; seeds mostly uniserate. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
