Habitat
wet-mesic floodplain forest with patchwork of swamps, generally level, little shrub layer, trees widely spaced. Alluvial soil, primarily silt. dominated by Acer saccharinum, Celtis occidentalis, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Quercus palustris, Ulmus americana; and Toxicodendron radicans.
