  • Description

    Pileus convex to applanate, reddish brown (8f6) with yellowish margins when older, finely squamulose, scales darker than the pileus, when older it breaks in some parts at the margin showing yellow context. Flesh bright yellow becoming blue when exposed. Lamellae decurrent, separating from the stipe in older specimens, orangish yellow (4B7), lamellulae present, venations not seen, turning blue when brusied or cut. Stipe equal, entire, eddish brown (8E8, 8F5) with scales at the bottom that are smaller at the middle of the stipe and the top near the lamellae is ridged, with white basal mycelium. Flesh light yellow turning blue when exposed. Odor and taste mild. NH4- blue on the top of the pileus.
