Salvia bahorucona Urban & Ekman Lamiaceae
Sierra Baoruco, Prov. Pedernales: along road to Las Mercedes and Aceitillar, about 27 km N of Cabo Rojo, ca 800 m. Not abundant in low elevation pine forest. Shrub 1-4 m; corollas orange; inflorescence branches, bracts, and calyces densely cream-colored tomentose; leaves shiny-green above. Flowers visited by hummingbirds.
