Ocimum micranthum Willd. det. C.D. Adams 1963 St. Andrew Parish: banks of Hope River bed, east of Univ. of West Indies campus just east of Kingston.
Quite common. Calyx green, hood tinged with purple; corolla mostly white outside, upper part of inside strongly tinged with purple; filaments white to purple above, anther* tannish; style and stigma light purple ovary white; with strong minty smell.
